Winter Cabin Rental

Ancient Way Cafe with snow

El Morro often has mild winters but 3" - 5" snows are typical, with the majority melting off by the end of the day.  We are located just off HWY 53, county snow plows can usually maintain our access to both nearby towns, Grants and Gallup, each on I40. All of this makes a winter rental of one of our Cabins at El Morro RV, a lovely winter getaway.

Even during the winter there are many things to do locally. Visit our outdoor art installations on the property and across the street at the Old School Gallery or have a delicious breakfast or lunch at the Cafe. The Gallery hosts numerous events throughout the year, from concerts and open mics, to festivals, dinners, and art showings. winter is a great time to take in the quiet and appreciate this pristine and sacred land. You will gain a perspective very different from the busier summer months.

We’ve added compact fridges, hot plates, dishes, cooking utensils and BBQ grills to each cabin. there is a local holistic food store, with a limited selection, directly across the street. Hours vary. additional Restaurants are available in nearby Ramah, Zuni, Gallup, and Grants.

For activity, Park Trails are open at El Morro Monument. Be sure to check with the Monument for hours and visitor center information. The Monument is just one mile west off Hwy 53 for easy access.

We also have our own trails within walking distance of your cabin. Our Art Trail begins just behind the cabins – signs will lead you through the experience. And across the street, another short trail winds around the Old School Art Gallery.

It’s a great time to take advantage of our accommodations. We offer year-round Cabin Rental, and RV Stays.  An added bonus is some of the best pie in the state from the Ancient Way Café!
