Mountain Cabins

Regardless of the season, a Mountain Cabin getaway at El Morro RV can be the perfect respite. In our remote, but still accessible location, we have all the necessities and more..

You might not expect such luxury when traveling in isolated regions, but according to the National Geographic, our on-site Ancient Way Café is one of the best restaurants in New Mexico. And our fresh baked, home-made pastries are what you would expect to find in a large city. Open Thursday through Sunday, we have a special offering every Sunday. You can make arrangements to have your dinner dropped off in your rental, in case you are away. Check with Café for details.

Our Mountain Cabins are cozy, warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Summertime lows often dip down into the 50s and the cool mountain air makes daytime surprisingly comfortable. Cabins come in two sizes. Whether you are a single, couple, or large family, we have the accommodations that are right for you.

Our night sky has a treasured rating of a #4 on the Bortle Scale. The brilliantly lit sky makes viewing the Milky Way and other constellations, easy. In comparison, an inner-city sky might be rated a #9. Bring your telescope, or just enjoy the amazing view.

But there is plenty to do here in the Mountains. The National Monument is just 2 miles away, with the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary a little further in Candy Kitchen. We have art galleries featuring local and very talented artists, and other offerings, from a monthly Open Mic and featured musical talents to seasonal festivals, we can offer you a great experience—within walking distance of your Mountain Cabin Retreat.

New Mexico’s pandemic response has been one of the most successful in the country. Our policy is to follow the current guidelines.
